Office Appropriate Holiday Outfit-Mixing Lace

Elizabeth and James Red Garett Lace Midi Skirt

Is it just me or did the month of December arrive too quickly? Now that everyone is prepping for their holiday parties, I figured now is the best time to post my holiday outfit I wore last year  minus my Pajar jacket and Sorel boots. This OOTN post may serve as some inspiration for those still seeking an a work appropriate holiday outfit.

Holiday Make Up from Day to Night

Holiday makeup bag-1

It took me about 2 work X-mas dinners, but I finally learned how to pack just the essential items that will bring me from day time to night time.

Boy was it a rough learning curve. Curious about how I go from day time to night time,  keep reading.

Holiday Parties Dos & Don'ts

Can you believe it's already that time of year again. I just had my first holiday party of the year and I figure I should do a post about the Dos and Don'ts of work place holiday parties.

I use to think that the Dos and Don'ts of work place holiday parties were pretty self evident. At least that's what I thought when I would see articles about how to behave at work place holiday parties pop up around this time of year.  I use to scoff at these articles, until I attended my first work place holiday party, I have seen things I can not un-see.

If this is your first work place holiday party and you're not sure how to navigate one, I highly recommend you to keep reading.

Spotted-Tom Ford Anoushka Sunglasses

Tom Ford Anoushka Sunglasses-1

My "Spotted" page, is basically a page full of great finds at irresistible prices.  Who says looking stylish has to cost an arm an a leg.  It's all about keeping an eye out for a deal.  Hopefully my "spotted page" will cut down on some of the leg work.

My first spotted item: the Tom Ford Anoushka sunglasses at Hr2.

Danity Jewelry

Maksym-jewelry

I may be a little late jumping on the band wagon of danity jewelry, but I'm currently having a moment.

I first spotted the Maksym jewelry on Silver linings by S blog and I was intrigued.

Palm Garden Skirt

Anthropologie Palm Garden Skirt-1

If you know me, you know I love a good print, especially on the bottom. Although Summer has come and gone, but with the mild Fall we're currently experiencing I figured I mind as well sneak in this OOTD. This was one of the skirts had I had been living in all summer long. It's summer somewhere in the world.

Gucci At the Mirabel Outlet

Gucci-Mirabel outlet-Montreal-1

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that the outlet malls in Canada just doesn't even compare to the ones in the US?

This past year, an outlet mall finally opened in Quebec! The Mirabel outlet is located about 30 minutes outside of Montreal.  Only a handful of the stores there are actual "outlet" stores, the rest are just regular stores, which kind of defeats the purpose of an outlet mall.  But recently a Gucci store opened!! The first luxury store in a Quebec outlet mall!

Mtl à Table 2015 -EVOO

Mtlatable 2015-EVOO
My Mtl à Table stop #2 was EVOO. My first visit to EVOO was during the Montreal mac&cheese week. Their homemade pasta was so satisfying that EVOO was put on my list of restaurants that were definitely worth a second visit.  I am no food critic, but I love to eat.

Office Wardrobe Essentials-Blazers

Club Monaco-Cobalt Blue Blazer-2

My rule of thumb for work outfits: you can't go wrong with a blazer. My workplace dress code: business casual, anything goes as long as it's not jeans. Jeans are only acceptable on Fridays.

Obviously, I couldn't visit the hobbit hole and not do an OOTD post!

Hobbit Hole in Dorval

Hobbit Hole-Dorval-1

When I heard about the Hobbit hole in Dorval, I knew I just had to check it out in person.  This is the second summer in a row that Dorval has re-created a hobbit hole. How did I not hear about this?! Not that I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but I can appreciate themed miniature garden. Last year, it was themed around Ent. This year Windsor Park was transformed into Smaug's the magnificent's new home.

Concert Uniform

Concert Uniform-1

I'm not the type of girl who gets super dressed up for concerts. I like to be as comfortable as much as possible because I'll probably be standing most of the time.  My concert uniform typically consists of  rip jeans, a white T, and of course comfortable shoes.

Zara Blanket Scarf

Nothing marks the start of Fall, then the appearance of blanket scarves.  I have to admit I have been eyeing one since last Fall.

Summer's Over

Mont St. Bruno-woods

Summer came and went in a blink of an eye. Luckily, Lily and I were able to squeeze in a hike before she returned to school.  Since we never hiked together I decided the best option was to head to Mont St-Bruno national park about 25 minutes from Montreal.  It's not the most difficult hike, but it's one of the most scenic hikes I've been on.

One Republic Native Tour 2015

One Republic Native Tour 2015

My 2015 concert season was kicked started by One Republic. One Republic has always been one of the bands I have always wanted to see live and when it was announced that the Native Tour was coming to Montreal, I was like "Lily...we're going to see One Republic, you in?!"

If you follow me on instagram, you would have already known where I was a couple of Saturdays ago.

New Blog New Vibe

This is basically a blog about what I buy, wear, and eat in real life. I'll admit I get smitten by the outfits fashion bloggers post, but am I the only one who thinks who wears that in real life?  I don't dress like that on a daily basis (although I would die to have their wardrobe) and I definitely don't see people strolling streets of Montreal dressed like that. Maybe if I was in NY? Scrolling through their instagram feed gives you the impression that they're living the good life (they probably are and they've earned it) but for most of us, that's just not reality. So I decided to start a blog about basically  things I have bought, worn, done and things I adore.

If you followed my (really it was supposed to be "our") previous blog 2sistersadecadeapart, you would have noticed that we have been MIA from the blog scene lately.  There are multiple reasons why Lily and I have stopped blogging on 2 sisters a decade apart. We started the blog as kinda of a sister bonding activity, but it turned out it was mostly just me posting (as you can tell from the majority of posts). Lily was great at helping me take pictures for my OOTD post, but when it came to her OOTD post, she was just not in the mood 80% of the time. Get her to actually write a post was like pulling teeth.  Suffice to say, she was not a blogger at heart.

Along the way, I kinda of lost motivation, it was no long a sister-sister blog, instead posting our views, style, and experiences as sisters, it really became just my views and experiences. Defeats the purpose of being a sister-sister blog. Factor in the fact that she also away for school 80% of the year it's kinda of hard to coordinate projects. So I  have decided to end 2 sisters a decade apart and start a new blog.  Instead of just diving head first into this blog like my last one, I have decided to careful research how to start a blog properly (boy is it a lot harder than I ever expected).  I've decide to start learning how to take better pictures. I've always been a point and shoot kinda of gal. So please bare with me.
