Stella Artois-Le Savoir Event 2016

Stella Artois Beer

I randomly stumbled upon an article about the Stella Artois - Le Savoir event. I'll admit, my interest was peaked. Described as a multi-sensory dinning experience in which the different courses were paired with Stella Artois.  I love food, especially when molecular gastronomy is involved.  My only hesitation, was the beer. Since Le Savoir was centred around the Stella Artois beer, I was a little iffy about buying tickets.  I am not a beer drinker,  I really dislike the bitterness of beer, and quite frankly don't know how to appreciate it. On top of that Stella Artois is a lager, which makes it quite bitter. But I decided to take a gamble and I didn't regret it.

Vancouver Travel Diaries

Telus world of science

As you can probably tell by the title of my post I was in Vancouver for a little R&R, which kinda of explains my absence from the blogsphere.  I had an invitation to visit one of my dearest friend combined with the fact that I was long over due for a vacation, I finally bit the bullet and bought a plane ticket to Vancouver.

I decided to split my vacation into several posts, otherwise you would be scrolling though hundreds of pics.

Welcome to my Vancouver travel diaries, first up, exploring Van City.

Warning this is a picture heavy post.

Sushi Momo-Vegan Sushi

Sushi Momo

Since it was recently Lily's B-day, which meant, she had carte blanche on where she wanted to eat. And of course she managed to find a vegan sushi restaurant to go along with her vegan B-day cake. Yes, you read that correctly, vegan sushi.

Disclaimer: Either of us are vegans, Lily tends to be a more healthy eater. Anything with the words, organic, gluten free, and vegan she'll be down for. Where as for me,  I'll eat anything and practically every thing, although I tend to stir away from things that are organic and gluten free. Basically anything that ooze's "healthy".

Sephora VIB Rouge Welcome Kit 2016

Sephora VIB Rouge Welcome Kit 2016

I have no idea how it happened but I some how managed to renew my Sephora VIB Rouge status. Actually I sorta of do, I got an email indicating that I was $131 dollars away from renewing my status. Then with the coupons I was $61 dollars away from renewing my VIB rouge status.  I held strong, but on the last day I caved and bought the Too Faced Chocolate bon bon palette and the rest is history.

Holiday Make Up from Day to Night

Holiday makeup bag-1

It took me about 2 work X-mas dinners, but I finally learned how to pack just the essential items that will bring me from day time to night time.

Boy was it a rough learning curve. Curious about how I go from day time to night time,  keep reading.

Holiday Parties Dos & Don'ts

Can you believe it's already that time of year again. I just had my first holiday party of the year and I figure I should do a post about the Dos and Don'ts of work place holiday parties.

I use to think that the Dos and Don'ts of work place holiday parties were pretty self evident. At least that's what I thought when I would see articles about how to behave at work place holiday parties pop up around this time of year.  I use to scoff at these articles, until I attended my first work place holiday party, I have seen things I can not un-see.

If this is your first work place holiday party and you're not sure how to navigate one, I highly recommend you to keep reading.

Mtl à Table 2015 -EVOO

Mtlatable 2015-EVOO
My Mtl à Table stop #2 was EVOO. My first visit to EVOO was during the Montreal mac&cheese week. Their homemade pasta was so satisfying that EVOO was put on my list of restaurants that were definitely worth a second visit.  I am no food critic, but I love to eat.

Hobbit Hole in Dorval

Hobbit Hole-Dorval-1

When I heard about the Hobbit hole in Dorval, I knew I just had to check it out in person.  This is the second summer in a row that Dorval has re-created a hobbit hole. How did I not hear about this?! Not that I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but I can appreciate themed miniature garden. Last year, it was themed around Ent. This year Windsor Park was transformed into Smaug's the magnificent's new home.

Summer's Over

Mont St. Bruno-woods

Summer came and went in a blink of an eye. Luckily, Lily and I were able to squeeze in a hike before she returned to school.  Since we never hiked together I decided the best option was to head to Mont St-Bruno national park about 25 minutes from Montreal.  It's not the most difficult hike, but it's one of the most scenic hikes I've been on.

One Republic Native Tour 2015

One Republic Native Tour 2015

My 2015 concert season was kicked started by One Republic. One Republic has always been one of the bands I have always wanted to see live and when it was announced that the Native Tour was coming to Montreal, I was like "Lily...we're going to see One Republic, you in?!"

On the Road Again...

One-Direction-On the road again tour 2015-1
If you follow me on instagram, you would have already known where I was a couple of Saturdays ago.

No, your eyes are not mis-reading this. No, I'm not ashamed to admit I as a fully grown adult went to the One Direction On the Road Again Tour at the Olympic Stadium.
